PBWC 2018 Report: Art of eXecution 12 Jun, 2018

PBWC 2018, the first ever PB global tournament to be held in Brazil has ended.

It was probably the most fierce tournament ever in PB history,

and the most suitable tournament for the phrase, "Gap is Closing"

PBWC 2018's average round difference in a game was only "2.79",

huge difference from PBIC 2017(5.61) and PBWC 2017(5.31).

It's time to look into how the teams performed in the tournament.

The third team we are going to take a look is Russian national team,

Art of eXecution. (AoeXe)

AoeXe has always been the favorites from the very beginning of PB e-Sports.

AoeXe is the only team that defended title, winning both PBIC 2013 & 2014.

Also once they make through Russian qualifier, they always reached at least semi-final.

However they remained 3rd place of Group A and they didn't reach semi-final for the first time.

Having the most fierce group stage matches with 3 teams of 1W2L,

AoeXe was only 1 round short from reaching semi-final,

as their Win/Lose rate was 0.90 while 2Kill Gaming was 0.91.

If they won 1 more round, or if they lost 1 less round, the fate of 2Kill and AoeXe

would have been the other way round.

In the opening match of PBWC 2018, they had a close match against 2Kill and

faced TokioStriker on 4th game.

Although they showed their strength to the world by getting a huge victory

against Pantawalon e-Sports, it was maybe too late, or not huge enough.

Although AoeXe stepped down earlier this time, they always remain to be

one of strong candidate to be the champion of PB global tournaments.

They will be coming back in anytime to win yet another trophy.

Below, you can find out how AoeXe players performed in PBWC 2018.
